This post will be dedicated to the lovely ladies and our obsession with beauty and staying young. Here I will share my 5 beauty products I love and use at the moment:
The summer is coming in fast when the days will get longer and the skirts will get shorter 😉 It’s important to prepare your skin to be as smooth as the baby’s behind. The coffee scrubs have gained a lot of popularity lately due to its successful effect on the skin and I have tried a few out there. My new favorite at this moment is the one by BODY BLENDZ: along with the Arabica coffee beans it is packed with essential oils and sea salt and helps you target that nasty cellulite, stretch marks and skin conditions like eczema. This is a new addition to my regular beauty routine as I have been loosing hair lately ( postpartum hormonal changes) and was looking for all-natural hair treatment without any harsh elements. I started using the Hydrating Mask Botanic Edition and noticed less hair loss after just 2 treatments and the hair feels super soft and silky. The mask is enriched with pure botanicals of rosemary and lavender and have a calming subtle smell of white grapefruit and orange. To use it: apply all over the hair 30 minutes before taking a shower, for best results wrap your head with a towel or a cap to activate the mask with the heat. Feel free to leave the mask overnight for extra conditioning or use it when relaxing by the beach to protect your hair from UV rays. I like to use it while taking a bubble bath with a glass of wine and having “me” time away from the busy chores of being a mom.
Another Australian favorite product of mine that I have been using for the past 3 years and LOVE it! Living in Miami we are always exposed to sun and spend a lot of time at the pool or the beach but I never actually tan. I try to take care of my skin and as we all know the biggest cause for skin damage and wrinkles is the sun. So to fake that beautiful summer glow I use Bondi Sands Self tanner in Ultra Dark. The application is super easy and you can even get a special mitten for an even color all over: scrub your skin to prepare it for treatment, apply Bondi Sands all over your body, wait a few minutes then put on some dark clothes you don’t care about as it will stain them, wait at least 1 hour and rinse it in the shower and you’ll have that beautiful dark color and a glow without any skin damage! It will last for about 3-4 days after which you can reapply it.
4. JOSIE MARAN ARGAN DAILY SPF 47
This one I cannot live without- it’s my all time favorite for many years and I keep coming back for more! In winter or summer I do not leave my house without applying my SPF moisturizer, especially in Miami when the sun is following you everywhere. Before I found this gem I tried hundreds (literally hundreds!) of spf lotions but they were always too greasy or too thick or would have tons of chemicals for sun protection that are even worse for your skin than the sun. This Josie Maran SPF 47 smells divine, is made with all natural Argan Oil that hydrates your skin and packed with tons of antioxidants. It goes on smooth and feels super soft on the skin and even acts as a primer for any foundation. There is a tinted version available as well but I haven’t tired it as I am super loyal to my favorite products :p
Lastly my new favorite beauty product is the overnight lip mask that hydrates your lips living them full and lustrous. I love the lip shine it gives so I even use it during the day instead of lipgloss or chapstick or on top of the lipstick when going out to give it that extra shine. It comes with an application tool that helps you apply it evenly on your lips. The mask is packed with vitamin C and antioxidants that remove dead skin cells while you sleep leaving lips smooth and supple in the morning.
