If you are romantic at heart and want to spend some sexy time with your partner then this post is for you! If you come home tired from a long day at work and desperately need some indulging then this post is also for you! And lastly, if you are a mommy looking for ways to spend quality time with you boo that outgrew his/her baby bath tub (my case) then this post is definitely for you!
Milk bath is known for its detox and moisturizing properties leaving your skin soft and supple. The lactic acid in milk helps clean and soften the skin while it exfoliates and hydrates it to prevent from dryness. I love to add coconut milk to my bath for extra hydration and ahhh-such yummy smell! You can also add some essential oils for aromatherapy effect and some honey for soothing and anti-inflammatory effect.
To make your own milk bath at home follow the recipe below. All the items can be bought at your local supermarket.
Homemade Coconut Milk Bath Recipe:
- 2 Cups (or more depending on the amount of water in the bath) of whole powdered milk (Goat Milk is my choice)
- 1/2 cup of cornstarch to relieve your dry and itchy skin
- 1/2 cup of powdered coconut milk (don’t put too much as the bath will become slippery)
- 2 tablespoons of Honey to sooth the skin
- Essential oil of your choice (if preferred)
If this seems like too much work, I found amazing ready-to-use milk bath powders you can buy so go ahead and click on the links below to find the best one for you!
